Props and Commissions FAQ
If you do not find the answer to your questions here, email us.
What kinds of tools and materials do you use?
Depending on the item in question, what it is being used for (IE: conventions) we will use materials ranging from insulation foam to plywood, PVC, fiber glass and resin.
Do you do custom paint jobs?
Yes, provided the information is given to us to do so. If we are recreating a prop that requires specific colours, we will follow that given palette. If you require weathering, rusting or any other special effect paints, please let us know.
Do you make metal swords?
We currently do not have the tools or facilities, our focus is on constructing props that are convention friendly, safe, and will not be confiscated from you at the door.
Do you make armor & accessories?
Yes. Have a look and see in our Gallery and Products pages.
How much do your props cost?
It varies depending on the piece and complexity, the cost of materials, and the amount of time it takes to do a piece. Once we receive your idea via our contact information sheet, we can provide a material list and then a proper quote. WpgWorkshop will never begin construction on a commission until 50% of the final cost is received.
Can you design a custom prop for me?
Yes. Please note that this is for commissioned works only, as making a blueprint requires a good bit of time. Blueprints will never be released until full payment is received for the creation in question, and will only then be shipped with the item upon completion.
Do you have any kind of prop warranty/guarantee?
Its very limited. I'll be sure to let you know what the prop can tolerate, and I will make it as sturdy as I can within the specs of the piece and materials. If something happened to it during shipping, be sure to contact me immediately! Packages will be shipped with insurance unless you specify otherwise!
This sounds good to me, how do I go about getting the process started?
