The Manitoba Mando

Over four months of planning, fabrication and part hunting has gone into this re-formatted version of one of the most infamous sci- fi bounty hunters.  Inspired in part by the Mandalorian Mercs, a Star Wars Costuming group that has members worldwide, the “Manitoba Mando” armor was crafted by hand, no machined parts, from 3 mm sintra plastic. This suit has gained acceptable and approval from the Mercs, and is member number 248 with the costuming group.

The prop weapon is based of the German MG-35 machine gun, scratch built from craft board and PVC piping with a few odds and ends found in the local hardware stores.

The Manitoba Mando made its debut appearance at the Central Canada Comic Con in 2009.
